Alumni Scholarship fund

Dear Maverick Alumni,

We are currently in the middle of the 2008 baseball season. The Mavs

and Colts started their respective seasons in May and have been off

and running ever since. We now have Kyle Pryor at the helm of the

Mavs and hope to keep him here for some time. As many of you may know

he was a standout player for the Billings Scarlets, MCC Pioneers and

the Billings Yellow Jackets. Kyle brings quality coaching experience

with him after coaching the Mavs and Colts, Billings Scarlets, and is

also currently assisting at MCC.

The Mavs are back in the Eastern "AA" and with the addition of

Belgrade to the mix they will now have a twenty-four game conference

schedule. We have made some changes within our association and now

allow the use of metal bats in conference games and post season

advancement tournaments at all levels.

The Miles City Youth Baseball Association is growing and as strong as

ever. This year we have over 280 youth participating from T-ball to

Legion just here in Miles City. We also have several area teams that

join our association during the season making the number of youth we

serve even greater.

We are once again seeking donations to the Alumni Scholarship fund.

Due to your generosity in past years, we have been able to award

eight $500 scholarships since 2004. We would like to thank you in

advance for your assistance in helping us ensure that the past,

present and future Mavericks experience the same success that we have.

Please visit milescitybaseball.com for up to date association

information including schedules. While you're there, fill out the

alumni questionnaire to get signed up with us.

Sincerely,

Matt Phillips, Roxanne Harding and Deb Shaw
